Avipathi Choornam contains Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Elettaria cardamomum, Cinnamomum tamala, Cyperus rotundus, Emblica officinalis, Embelia ribes, Operculina turpethum, long pepper, ginger and black pepper.
Pharmacological action of Avipattikar Churna
Avipathi Choornam pacifies pita humour. It has a mild laxative action. It normalizes gastric secretion and reduces inflammation of gastric walks. Therefore, it is beneficial in gastritis, GORD, and heartburn.
It reduces body heat due to its coolant action. It is given in excessive thirst and burning sensation of the body.
