The Ayurveda training program at Pure Herbal Ayurved Clinic is run under the leadership of Pooja Saini. She did her Bachelors in Ayurvedic medicine from India. She holds certificate IV TAE40116 in training and assessment and is an approved Training Provider with International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT) since 2016.
She is an Ayurvedic Practitioner in Melbourne and has been providing consultation and treatment for more than a decade and has vast teaching experience. She is a substantial interest in women’s disorders, ailments of the digestive system and skin problems.
She has put genuine effort into designing the curriculum for these Ayurveda training programs, so as to provide an in-depth knowledge about the various aspects of Ayurveda.
Pooja Saini has been considered as the first Ayurvedic Practitioner in Australia, who is providing training for maximum number of (total 16) practical modalities of Ayurveda.
Pooja Saini developed the training packages and registered 15 out of 16 new modalities with IICT in 2016 (only shirodhara was registered earlier) and has been offering training session for all 16 modalities since 2016.

- Theoretical and practical knowledge share about three doshas- vata, pitta, kapha, including body constitution analysis to determine participant’s body type.
- Detailed handout and discussion on the use of various ayurvedic herbal oils based on various health conditions and dosha imbalance.
- Detailed handout and practical demonstration on the step by step procedure of the therapy on a model.

2. Shirodhara (Third Eye drip):
Shirodhara is a classical and a well-established Ayurvedic treatment. The word Shirodhara means ‘Shira = head’ and ‘dhara = a steady flow’. It is one of the main services in ayurvedic wellness center and very popular for training.
The aim of Shirodhara is to induce a relaxed state of awareness, which results in a dynamic psycho-somatic balance. 3. Shiro Abhayanga-Ayurvedic Head Massage:
Indian head massage or Shiro abhyanga (as called in Ayurveda) is a popular head massage carried out in India. 4. Nadi Swedan:
The term Nadi Sweda is derived from Sanskrit where ‘Nadi’ means small tubes and ‘Sweda’ means sweating or perspiration. Thus, this ayurvedic therapy is a process by which steam is passed to various parts of the body in order to attain profound sweating. Nadi Sweda is a type of Swedana, which forms an integral part of Panchakarma detox. This therapy can be used individually also for skeletal disorders and muscular problems.

5. Sarvang Swedan: Herbal Steam Bath (Sarvanga Bashpa Sweda) is a very important ayurvedic therapy. It causes profound sweating, which has several health benefits. It helps in improving blood flow to all parts of the body, which eliminates toxins and relieves body aches.

7. Patra Pind Swedna: Pinda swedana is a process by which the whole body (or any specific part) is made to sweat by using the heat of herbal bolus dipped in warm oil. The oil dipped bolus is vigorously rubbed on the body to generate heat. Used in many pain associated health conditions.

8. Shashti Shali Pind Swedna: Producing steam by using heated rice bags is known as shastika shali swedana. Shali means red rice and shashtika means sixty. The red rice grown over the period of 60 days is called shashtika shali. Hence the name of the treatment is shastika shali swedan. The body is made to sweat by rubbing the bolus on the body. The warmth of the cooked red rice dipped in herbal decoction makes the body sweat.

9. Griva Basti: The word Greeva Basti comes from the Sanskrit language in which Greeva means ‘neck’ and Basti means ‘to contain or hold’.
It is one of the most effective therapies for neck pain in Ayurveda which involves pouring of oil in a small compartment constructed using wet flour or black gram flour. 10.Janu Basti: Janu Basti is an ayurvedic therapy in which a ring is placed around the knee joint and medicated ayurvedic oil is kept in this ring for 30 minutes.
