Balarishtam has been frequently used as traditional Ayurveda treatment for disorders of nervous system and muscular problems. It is considered as a nervine tonic as well as natural analgesic. It is helpful in muscular pain, general weakness, loss of appetite in neurological diseases and can be useful in anorexia due to anxiety or depression.  It helps to provide overall nourishment to the body. Main Ingredients of Balarishtam



Sida cordifolia is the main ingredient in Balarishtam. Sida cordifolia has shown medicinal action on nervous system. Balarishtam also contains Indian ginseng, Ricinus communis, Tribulus terrestris, Pluchea lanceolata and Paederia foetida. Most of these ingredients tend to impart pain-relieving actions inside the body.



Ayurveda Pharmacological action of Balarishtam



Balarishtam pacifies vata humor as per Ayurveda and has main action on nervous system. It possesses some herbs that act as nervine tonic as well anti-inflammatory. It provides strength to nerves and helps to prevent degenerations of nervous system.



It may be useful in paralysis to minimise further damage of nerves and aids to improve sensitivity in patients of paralysis. It helsp to aid rejuvenation of various cells inside the body and may restore natural activity of muscles.



Most of the herbs in Balarishtam are anti-inflammatory, strengthening and natural analgesics. Therefore, Balarishtam may have anti-inflammatory as well as analgesic action so it is given in arthritic pain in osteoarthritis and rheumatic pains. Balarishtam helps to reduce inflammation and swelling of joints.
