Chanadanasavam is an Ayurveda herbal drink that is considered useful and beneficial for kidneys and other parts of urinary system. It has anti-microbial properties and given in urinary tract infections (UTI). Chandanasavam has cooling potency and helps to reduce body heat. Santalum album or heart sandal wood is main ingredient on which Chanadanasavam is named. Besides this, it also contains Cyperus rotundus, Gmelina arbora, Symplocos racemosa, Rubia cordifolia, Pterocarpus santalinus and Luffa acutangula etc.
Ayurveda Pharmacological action of Chanadanasavam

Chanadanasavam may give strength to the urinary organs including kidneys and aids to detoxify both kidneys. Toxins are removed through urine from the kidneys by which kidney’s health is maintained. Chanadanasavam may also help to reduce protein loss in urine so it becomes beneficial in albuminuria.
Chanadanasavam has been considered to have anti-microbial action. It helsp to fight off urinary infections and helsp to reduce burning sensation in urine. In clinical experiences of many Ayurvedic doctors, it is found that it reduces pus cells in urine and prevents recurrence of frequent urinary tract infections. In chronic and obstinate cases of UTI, Chanadanasavam is prescribed by most of traditional doctors with other organic herbal medicines.
