Dasamoola kashayam is useful as Ayurveda remedy in pain and inflammatory diseases. It is recommended in various diseases of joints, respiratory diseases and uterine diseases. It is liquid Ayurveda medicine and it is prepared decoction from some herbs used in above diseases so it contains active substance of main 10 herbs commonly known as dasamoola.

 

 

Main Ingredients Dasamoola kashayam

 

 

Dasamoola kashayam contains liquid extracts derived from 10 herbs. These herbs are Aegle marmelos,  Premna mucronata, Oroxylum indicum, Stereospermum suaveolens, Gmelina arborea, Solanum indicum, Solanum xanthocarpum, Tribulus terrestris, Desmodium gangeticum, Uraria picta.

 

 

Ayurveda Pharmacological action of Dasamoola kashayam

 

 

Dasamoola kashayam pacifies vata and kapha humours. It is considered anti-inflammatory and analgesic in action. Moreover, it may provide strength to muscles, bones and joints. It may prevent degeneration process of cartilages so beneficial in osteoarthritis.

 

 

It may also reduce inflammation, swelling and pain in rheumatoid arthritis and gout. It is considered to lowers serum uric acid levels. Therefore, it may be used in treatment of gout and hyperuricemia in Ayurveda world.

 

 

It also aids to dilate bronchial tubes and reduces inflammation of bronchioles. Therefore, it is used in asthma and cough.

Precaution should be taken if suffering from heartburn, acidity or GORD before taking Dasamoola kashayam.
