Dhanwantharam Oil is very popular Ayurvedic medicated oil, which is used in the treatment of muscular problems, neurological diseases, disorders of bones and joints. बलामूलकषायस्य भागाषट्पयसस्तथा। यवकोलकुलुत्थानां दशमूलस्य चैकतः ॥
निष्काथभागो भागश्च तैलस्य च चतुर्दश। द्विमेदादारूमंजिष्ठाकाकोलीद्वयचंदनैः॥
सारिवाकुष्ठतगरजीवकर्षभसैंधवैः। कालानुसारीशैलेयवचाऽगुरूपुनर्नवैः॥
अश्वगंधावरीक्षीरशुक्लायष्टीवरारसैः । शताहाशूर्पपर्येलात्वक्पत्रैः श्लक्ष्णकल्कितैः ।।
पक्कं मदग्निना तैलं सर्ववातविकारजित् । सूतिकाबालमर्मास्थिक्षतक्षीणेषु पूजितं ।
ज्वरगुल्मग्रहोन्मादमूत्राघातान्त्रवृद्धिजित् । धन्वंतरेरभिमतं योनिरोगक्षयापहं।

Main Ingredients of Dhanwantharam Oil
Sida cordifolia is a main ingredient in Dhanwantharam Oil. Other ingredients are Aegle marmelos, Premna mucronata, Oroxylum indicum, Stereospermum suaveolens, Gmelina arborea, Uraria picta, Tribulus terrestris, Solanum xanthocarpum, Solanum indicum, Desmodium gangeticum etc.
According to Ayurvedic science, it pacifies vata and pitta dosha. It is used for in body massage to get relief from pain. Massage of Dhanwantharam Oil is beneficial in relieving body ache and muscular pain.
Dhanwantharam Oil has major two effects inside the body as well as when it is applied externally. It is anti-inflammatory and strengthening herbal medicine. It reduces inflammation of nerves, bones, joints, muscles and tendons.
Furthermore, it provides strength to them and restores their natural functions. Therefore, it is used in various therapeutic procedures or therapies in Ayurveda. Due to these effects, it is beneficial in neuro-muscular problems, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, Rheumatoid arthritis and paralysis.
