Main Ingredients of Hinguvachadi Churna
The main ingredients are Ferula asafetida and Acorus calamus. Other ingredients present in Hinguvachadi Choornam tab are Punica granatum, Inula racemosa, Terminalia chebula, Trachispermum roxburghianum, Cleome viscose, Trachispermum roxburghianum, Coriandrum sativum, Plumbago zeylanica, Cyclea peltata, Rumex vesicarius, Kaempferia galangal, Zingiber officinale, Sphaeranthus africanus etc.
Pharmacological action of Hinguvachadi Choornam
Hinguvachadi Choornam tab calms the vata and reduces the kapha humour. It is anti-flatulent, carminative, appetizer and antispasmodic herbal preparation. Therefore, it is beneficial in increasing appetite. It is a digestive stimulant. Thereby it aids in loss of appetite and trouble of indigestion. It stimulates gastric secretions and improves the digestive capacity of the digestive system.
Furthermore, it improves the functions of the liver and aids in the secretion of bile salts by which it is beneficial in fat metabolism as well. It improves digestion and appetite by these two mechanisms of action.
Hinguvachadi Choornam tab is also carminative and antispasmodic herbal powder. Therefore, it is also beneficial in abdominal distension and abdominal colic. It relaxes the abdominal muscles and gives relief in abdominal cramps as well.

There are no side effects observed with the use of Hinguvachadi Choornam tab but it should be used with caution in gastritis and GERD. It contains salt as ingredient so it should be avoided in high blood pressure (hypertension).
