Is Ayurvedic treatment successful?

Traditional Ayurvedic medicine (often spelt Ayurveda) has been practised for thousands of years in India and other areas of the globe. The core tenet is the idea that harmony among one's mental, physical, and spiritual selves is essential to one's health and well-being. Ayurveda is a system of medicine that emphasises the use of natural remedies, such as medicinal herbs, dietary restrictions, and other holistic approaches, to prevent and cure illness.

There is increasing research demonstrating that Ayurvedic medicine may be useful in treating a wide range of diseases and ailments. Cognitive function, asthma, diabetes, and many other illnesses have all been found to benefit from specific Ayurvedic therapies, according to a number of studies.

An Ayurvedic herbal combination known as "Brahmi" may enhance cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease patients, according to a research published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology. The Ayurvedic herbal compound "Trikatu," according to another research published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, may be useful in alleviating asthma symptoms.

Ayurvedic medicine has helped many individuals feel better and live longer since it is both gentle and effective.

As an added bonus, Ayurveda doctors are experts in the field of natural medicine and may create individualised treatment programmes based on each patient's specific symptoms and health history.

In order to determine whether or not Ayurvedic treatment is effective in the treatment of a variety of medical conditions, there have been a number of scientific studies carried out. The findings of some of these studies have been favourable, whereas those of others have not.

The effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for diabetes was investigated in a study that was recently published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. Within the scope of the study, there were a total of sixty patients diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. These patients were given either an Ayurvedic treatment or a conventional treatment at random. According to the findings of the research conducted, patients who received Ayurvedic treatment experienced a significant reduction in their blood sugar levels, in addition to an improvement in their lipid profile and their overall body weight.

Another study that looked at the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis was published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine. In the course of the research, there were a total of sixty patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. These patients were given either Ayurvedic treatment or conventional treatment based on a random assignment. According to the findings of the research conducted, patients who received Ayurvedic treatment experienced a notable reduction in the amount of pain and stiffness in their joints, in addition to an increase in their overall physical function.

Ayurvedic treatment for asthma was evaluated and found to be effective, according to a study that was published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology. In the course of the research, a total of 60 asthma patients participated, each of whom was given a choice to either receive Ayurvedic treatment or conventional treatment. According to the findings of the research conducted, patients with asthma who received Ayurvedic treatment experienced a significant reduction in the severity of their asthma symptoms, in addition to an increase in their lung capacity.

An investigation into the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was carried out and reported on in a study that was published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (COPD). Within the scope of the research project, there were a total of 60 COPD patients who were each given a choice to either receive Ayurvedic treatment or conventional treatment. The findings of the research project demonstrated that patients with COPD who received Ayurvedic treatment experienced a significant reduction in the severity of their COPD symptoms, in addition to an increase in their lung function.

An investigation into the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment for psoriasis was carried out and the results were published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. Psoriasis patients were randomly assigned to receive either Ayurvedic treatment or conventional treatment during the course of the study, which included a total of 60 patients. According to the findings of the research, patients who received Ayurvedic treatment for their psoriasis experienced a significant reduction in the severity of their psoriasis symptoms and an increase in their overall quality of life.

Evaluation of the efficacy of Ayurvedic treatment for obesity was the focus of a study that was recently published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. In the course of the research, a total of 60 obese patients participated, each of whom was assigned at random to receive either Ayurvedic treatment or conventional treatment. According to the findings of the research conducted, patients who underwent Ayurvedic treatment experienced a discernible reduction in their overall body weight in addition to an improvement in their lipid profile.

It is important to keep in mind that these are just a few of the studies that have been conducted, and that additional research is required to fully understand the safety and efficacy of these treatments. It is worth noting that while the studies that were discussed earlier do provide some evidence of the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for certain conditions, it is also important to remember that these are just a few of the studies that have been discussed previously.

In addition, some of these studies were carried out with a relatively small sample size; consequently, additional research must be carried out with a significantly larger sample size and a distinct population in order to validate the findings. In addition, these studies are observational in nature, and not controlled clinical trials. Because of this, the findings may not be applicable to the entire population, and there is a possibility that there was bias in the selection process.

Although there is limited scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for various medical conditions, some studies have shown promising results for certain conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, COPD, psoriasis, and obesity.

In conclusion, although there is limited scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment for various medical conditions, there are some studies that have shown promising results for certain conditions. But we still don't know enough about the risks and benefits of these treatments for there not to be more investigation into them. Before beginning any kind of Ayurvedic treatment, it is essential to discuss your health with a trained medical professional, especially if you are already taking other kinds of medication or have a preexisting medical condition.

It is essential to keep in mind that the studies that were discussed earlier were observational in character and not controlled clinical trials. This indicates that the findings may not be applicable to the entire population and may be subject to selection bias. In addition, these studies were carried out with a relatively small sample size; consequently, additional research must be carried out with a significantly larger sample size and a distinct population in order to validate the findings.

In conclusion, Ayurvedic medicine has been around for a long time, and it works for many different kinds of illnesses. Ayurveda relies on natural medicines that are thought to be both safe and effective, and the individualised treatment regimens offered by ayurvedic doctors may aid patients in reaching their full health potential. You should seek the advice of an experienced Ayurvedic professional for more information and assistance.

  • 3+ years ago just before covid hit, I had sudden intolerance to a string of food predominantly gluten, cow's milk, egg and night shade vegetables. Energy was low and brain was foggy. I consulted and tried other treatments but minimal improvement. I was recommended to Drs Saini and Pooja by a friend who came out of her issues after ayurvedic treatments. Without hesitation, i consulted and started my ayurvedic journey 2+ years ago. It was the best decision I made. During those time, I had 2 sessions of panchakarma treatments. 2+ years later, I can now confidently say that I am able to incorporate gluten and cows milk products into my diet without any issue. My energy is back to normal and the other bonus for me is that unnecessary food cravings have diminished. I am very grateful and appreciated Drs Saini & Pooja's dedication and patient throughout my ayurvedic journey...

  • I thoroughly recommend Ayurveda Doctor Gurnam Saini! He is fantastic. I was feeling depressed with low moods and low energy, I'd put on weight and was experiencing hair loss. I saw results with my energy and mood after only a few days of treatment and after three months I have been gradually losing weight and my hair is becoming thicker and fuller. His Ayurveda herbs and supplements definitely do the trick, and his dietary recommendations are pretty easy to implement into your lifestyle. If you're feeling like your overall health and well-being could be better I recommend giving this a try.

  • Three weeks after my first visit with Gurnam, I started noticing big differences in the symptoms that I was experiencing as a result of hormonal imbalance, anxiety & stress, sleeplessness, hair loss, diabetes and weight issues. The most noticeable change were my hot flushes. My constant hot flushes (approx every 20-30 minutes) were debilitating and driving me to the point where I was just not going out. I was constantly hot and not sleeping week at all. Within 3 weeks this changed to about 2 during the day and just general warmth overnight, which meant I was sleeping better and not having to get up and cool my face and wash my body before returning to bed. My anxiety levels have been reduced significantly, even though I have still been faced with stressful situations and the hair fall much less. The herbal tea that I make each morning and drink through the day keeps me full and is neutral tasting unlike other ‘tonics’ Ive tried before. I look forward to seeing Gurnam monthly to get my mix of Herbal treatments and feeling better with each visit. Thank you Gurnam 🙌🏽

  • I saw Dr Saini in July 2019 for “acid reflux” after suffering of months. I tried different medicines but didn’t work. There was a time I started believing that there was no permanent cure to this disease. Dr Saini is an authentic Ayurvedic doctor. He can do miracles for you. I honestly believe he’s a blessing for the city of Melbourne otherwise it would have been very hard to physically see an Ayurvedic doctor like him. My heart burn got worst with the time & became just unbearable. I couldn’t eat anything or sleep at all. Finally, I found him via google and peoples reviews convinced me to give him a call. He’s an angel & listens everything. He gave me a three month’s plan which I completed happily. But unbelievably my acid reflux reduced 80% within three days & completely gone in five days & it never came back since then. I’m so happy & enjoying my life like I used to. God bless Dr Saini & God bless those who wrote reviews which convinced me to give him a call first time.

  • Since September 2018, I have been in and out of hospital with consistent bowel and rectal issues. Three weeks after my last surgery this year, I literally stumbled across Pure Herbal. Dr Saini, (Ayurvedic Doctor) has been an absolute God send. I have worked closely with him since March. I have been extremely commited to the daily herbal regime, detox and treatments provided at Pure Health. At 46, I have never felt better physically, mentally and spiritually. What were constant symptoms, are now a thing of the past. I will continue this cleansing journey and with Dr Saini's expertise, I know my health will continue to improve. 🙏

  • Thank you Dr Saini for the remarkable improvement in my health since first seeing you only 3 months ago. With herbal supplements, herbal teas and a single panchakarma treatment I have already experienced the following benefits that western medicine had not been able to assist: * Lower blood pressure permitting a reduction in medication. * Reduced anxiety. * No dizziness or fainting following sudden exercise such as climbing stairs. * Eye floaters gone. * Persistent (2 year) cough almost gone. * Frequent reflux gone. With continued treatment and lifestyle changes I am looking forward to: * normal blood pressure without medication, * weight loss without strict diets, * cough gone!

  • I cannot recommend highly enough. This has been my first experience with Ayurvedic medicine and the Panchakarma cleanse and I can finally say that after years of striving for better health and wellbeing, I finally understand what is going to work for me moving forward. Having experience a traumatic event and subsequent PTSD 5 years ago, my gut and my body became increasingly compromised. In this time I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome and various ailments of the gut. I came to see Dr Saini and Pooja at a time that I felt frustrated with my years of work to see some more obvious progress with my healing. Having completed the Panchakarma cleanse, I am feeling fully renewed. Awake. Settled. I no longer struggle to wake each morning and get through each day. My appetite feels steady and all cravings have completely ceased. I now have some tools under my belt to fall back on when I know my digestive system needs a break. This cleanse has been a complete game changer. Thankyou Dr Saini and Pooja for you incredible guidance and support. Liz
