According to ayurveda, Kaisore gulgulu vatika mitigates kapha and calms the vata and pitta humors. It is used in acute attack of gout because of its instant analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. It reduces inflammation and alleviates pain and swelling.
Furthermore, it is also decreases blood level of uric acid. If it is taken with manjisthadi kashayam for a period of three months, it can cure recurrent gout and prevents recurrent gouty attacks.
In addition, Kaisore gulgulu vatika is widely prescribed ayurvedic medicine in skin diseases. It mitigates itches and reduces skin inflammations. Therefore, it is beneficial in various diseases in which itching are prominent symptom.
