Pharmacological action ofLohasava
Lohasava is a fermented formulation of iron that is processed with some herbs, which are beneficial for increasing appetite and rich in nutrients. According to ayurveda, Lohasava pacifies kapha humour mainly. It aids to detoxify micro-channels of the body by which nutrition is reach to each cells. It is also helpful in increasing appetite due to presence of appetiser herbs in it.
Lohasava is an iron supplement. It increases haemoglobin level in the blood and reduces symptoms of anaemia. Iron present in it is well tolerable as compared to iron supplements of western medicines. It does not cause abdominal discomfort or metallic taste in the mouth.
