Pharmacological action of Madhusnuhi Rasayanam
Madhusnuhi rasayanam is beneficial for vata and kapha defects. All ingredients present in it have anti-inflammatory properties. Sieboldogenin is active principle found in Smilax china, the main ingredient of Madhusnuhi rasayanam.
It has significant lipoxygenase inhibition properties. Therefore, Madhusnuhi rasayanam is beneficial in inflammatory conditions of the skin as well as other conditions.
Madhusnuhi rasayanam possesses properties of anti-spasmodic and carminative. Due to these properties, it is used in abdominal pain, cramps, flatulence and abdominal distension. It is also effective in diabetic carbuncles due to its healing properties.
