Madhusnuhi Rasayanam is Ayurvedic preparation especially used in skin diseases and beneficial in non-healing wounds. It is also helpful in cases of diabetic carbuncles, skin ulcers, psoriasis, eczema and piles.
The ingredients present in Madhusnuhi rasayanam are Smilax china, Cinnamomum tamala, Plumbago zeylanica, Embelia ribes, Operculina turpethum, Piper cubeba, Saussurea lappa, Clerodendron serratum, Zanthoxylum alatum, Withania somnifera, Mesua ferrea etc.
Madhusnuhi rasayanam is beneficial for vata and kapha defects. main ingredients present in it have anti-inflammatory properties. Sieboldogenin is active principle found in Smilax china, the main ingredient of Madhusnuhi rasayanam.
It is considered to have lipoxygenase inhibition properties. Therefore, Madhusnuhi rasayanam is beneficial in inflammatory conditions of the skin as well as other conditions.
Madhusnuhi rasayanam possesses properties of anti-spasmodic and carminative. Due to these properties, it is used in abdominal pain, cramps, flatulence and abdominal distension. It is also effective in diabetic carbuncles due to its healing properties.
There is no side effects mentioned in ayurvedic texts or reported by clients as such from prescribed therapeutic dosage of this preparation.
