Mahathikthakam Kashayam tablets are condensed solid extract available in tablets form and it is derived from Mahathikthakam Kashayam decoction by the process of heating it at very low temperature and vaporization of fluid present in decoction.

Azadirachta indica, Picrorhiza kurroa, Fumaria indica, Trichosanthes cucumerina, Berberis aristata, Tragia involucrate, Cyperus rotundus, Gentiana kurroo, Andrographis paniculata and Piper longum are main ingredients present in Mahathikthakam Kashayam tablets.

Mahathikthakam Kashayam tablets pacify pitta and kapha defects. It is used especially in various skin diseases due to its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It helps to reduces itching and burning sensation of skin due to its coolant effects. It may reduce skin inflammation in dermatitis as well as in psoriasis.



It may also have its influence over the pigment material of skin so it is beneficial in leukoderma as well. Due to its anti-inflammatory property, it is also effective remedy for hepatitis. Hepatitis occurs due to various reasons and these may include viruses and alcohol.
