Panchakola Churna Powder

 

 

Panchakola Churna Powder is a common Ayurvedic medicine and contains five main herbs, which have action on the digestive system. It is mainly beneficial in loss of appetite, indigestion, abdominal pain, cough, common cold, rheumatoid arthritis etc.

 

 

 

It is also used in panchkarma therapy in which it is prescribed for seven days before massage and steam therapy.

 

 

 

Main Ingredients of Panchakola Churna Powder

 

 

 

Long pepper, long pepper root, piper retrofractum, Plumbago zeylanica and Zingiber officinalis are ingredients present in Panchakola Churna Powder .

 

 

 

Ayurveda Pharmacological action of Panchakola Churna Powder

 

 

 

Panchakola Churna Powder calms the vata and reduces excess kapha in the body. Thus, it is beneficial to balance these humours in the body. Moreover, it also has action of appetizer and digestive stimulation.

 

 

 

Therefore, it is a very helpful herbal remedy in loss of appetite, indigestion, anorexia nervosa, and irritable bowel syndrome or malabsorption syndrome. It also has characteristics of anti-flatulent and antispasmodic so it is efficacious in abdominal pain and colic.

 

 

 

In rheumatoid arthritis, Ayurveda believes in the theory of ama accumulation in the body. Panchakola Churna Powder is a beneficial herbal preparation to eliminate these ama from the body. Thus, it is used at the initial stage of various panchkarma therapies as well. It also helps to reduce pain and swelling in rheumatoid arthritis.
