Thrivrith Lehyam or Trivrit Lehyam is a Ayurvedic medicine beneficial in the treatment of constipation. It is also used in panchkarma therapy for the purpose of detoxification of the body. It has moderate laxative properties. It is also beneficial in chronic constipation.
Operculina turpethum is the main ingredient of Thrivrith Lehyam. Other ingredients present in Thrivrith Lehyam or Trivrit Lehyam are Cinnamon, Cinnamon leaf, Cardamom and honey.
Thrivrith Lehyam or Trivrit Lehyam pacifies all three humours in the body. It is a great herbal remedy used for detoxification purposes. In panchkarma therapy, it is used for detoxification and purification of abdomen and intestines.
It is observed that its use in various skin conditions is beneficial. It has moderate characteristics of laxative. Therefore, it is beneficial in mild to moderate constipation.
Its dosage varies person to person. It should not be taken in the case of diahhoea.
