Vayu gulika is an Ayurvedic preparation traditonally used in the treatment of cough, fever, cold, rhinitis, indigestion and abdominal colic. It has been considered useful Ayurvedic remedy for bronchitis and variety vata disorders. Kasthuryadi Gulika is an another name used in Ayurveda for vayu gulika.

 

 

Main Ingredients of Vayu gulika

 

 

Pluchea lanceolata, Cinnamomum camphora, Myristica fragrans, Hordeum vulgare, Phyllanthus emblica, Terminalia bellirica, Terminalia chebula, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Elettaria cardamomum, Garcinia Morella, Berberis aristata, Boswellia serrata and Nigella sativa are main ingredients of Vayu gulika.

 

 

 

Ayurveda Pharmacological action of Vayu gulika

 

Vayu gulika pacifies vata humour and decreases pain due to various ailments. Especially, it is used in respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders. It aids to release wind from the alimentary canal and therefore, helps in the condition of abdominal distension or flatulence.

 

 

 

It has some herbs for increasing digestive process in the digestive system. Therefore, it is used in indigestion and loss of appetite. In respiratory diseases, it has considered to have action of dilation bronchioles, bronchi or respiratory tract.

 

 

It tends to ease breathing and allays inflammation of bronchi. Therefore, it is effective ayurvedic formulation in case of bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory conditions.
