Vitiligo is a skin disorder characterized by the loss of normal skin color in patches. The rate and the extent of the color loss vary among different patients. Sign and Symptoms of Vitiligo or Lecoderma
The primary symptom of vitiligo is the depigmentation of the skin resulting in the appearance of white or light patches. The skin discoloration may begins on the sun-exposed parts of the body such as the face, hands, feet, and the lips. The condition may also affect the eyes and the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. Some patients also develop premature graying of the hair of the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or the beard.

The product contained Bakuchi seed powder, Khadir (skin) powder, Chitrak (root) powder, Jatamansi (root) powder and Aamalaki (fruit) powder. The Ayurvedic powder mixture with a local application, Phototherapy (natural) and panchakarma gave results in Vitiligo patients. The effects of internal medications and local treatment were intensified after the panchakarma processes.
Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia)
A research paper presented by Shingadiya RK Et al. exclaims that Vitiligo is the appearance of white spots on the skin due to the deficiency of melanocytes. Ayurveda may manage such autoimmune skin diseases with its natural and herbal medicine. Among the main herbs, Bakuchi(Psoralea corylifolia) can a herb with therapeutic properties, whereas the Manjisthadi kashaya can purifies the blood by blood detoxification and can eliminates the toxins accumulated in the body.
